Founder's Day & Alumni Relations

Phi Delt has always had a very strong relationship with our alumni. As current brothers we greatly appreciate all the help and support our alumni give us, so we try and return the favor as much as possible. Our house is always open on gamedays for alumni to stay at, and any other time of the year. We also welcome alumni to stop by our tailgates; where we always have live music and a cookout with hamburgers and hotdogs.

Below is the invitation for the upcoming Founders Day for Brothers and Parents of Phi Delta Theta. The Florida Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Theta has influenced the lives of thousands of great young men over the years, and we are proud to be celebrating our 57th anniversary at Florida State University. This event is being held in conjunction with the Spring Football Game on April 11th and 12th in Tallahassee, and it is certain to be a great event for all that attend!

Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Raymond Vickers, more affectionately referred to by our brothers as Vic. Vic was initiated into the Florida Gamma Chapter of Phi Delta Theta in January of 1968, and went on to earn four degrees from Florida State including a Bachelors Degree, Law Degree, Masters Degree, and a Doctorate.

Vic is an accomplished author, attorney-at-law, and entrepreneur. He has written several books about the banking industry, including "Panic in Paradise - Florida's Banking Crash of 1926," and he has a variety of business and legal interests throughout the world. He is also a major contributor to Florida State University athletics. We are very excited that he is joining us for this very special gathering and we look forward to hearing his message.

We are also pleased to announce that Senator Jim King of Jacksonville will be with us and will also speak to us at the dinner. Please fill out the bottom part of the attached invitation and fax it to Roger Green at (850) 383-2549, or simply drop it in the mail to the address given. Also, please forward this out to every brother you have contact information for so we can have a great showing. I look forward to seeing you all and I appreciate your continued interest and loyalty to the greatest fraternity at Florida State!
